The YMCA-YWCA of Vancouver Island is seeking a permanent full-time Facility Maintenance staff member for the Westhills Y facility. You will manage building systems, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safe operation of pools and equipment.
Reporting to the Manager of Facility Maintenance, you will respond to work orders, coordinate with contractors, and participate in emergency responses while delivering strong customer service to members and staff. Flexible schedule and benefits apply.

Placement: August 2026
Salary Range: $34.00 - $36.00 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week;
Shifts: Tuesday to Saturday (Monday - Thursday 1:45pm - 8;15pm; Saturday 7:00am - 2:30pm)
The YMCA-YWCA of Vancouver Island is a dynamic charitable organization whose mission is to enhance individual and community potential through participation, learning and leadership. This Facility Maintenance staff provides services at the Westhills YMCA-YWCA facility, which includes a lap pool, lazy river, warm water therapy pools, waterslides, health and fitness facilities and equipment, multi-purpose rooms, and a childcare centre.
Reporting to the Manager of Facility Maintenance (Westhills), the successful applicant will work in a "hands-on" capacity to ensure the buildings, systems, and equipment are in excellent condition in keeping with Association and YMCA Canada standards. This includes adhering to planned maintenance schedules for equipment and the facility, addressing any concerns that arise, undertaking emergency repairs, and assisting in related projects as assigned. This position may require some flexibility to cover other shifts if required. Excellent customer service is an important aspect of the role, as this position will have direct contact with the public.
