Job summary

HERD is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Manitoba team. You will maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, troubleshoot equipment, and perform preventative maintenance on production lines and robotic systems.

The role requires strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, reading technical drawings, and a hands‑on approach to maintenance. The shift is full‑time, Mon–Fri, 3:30 PM–11:30 PM, at 2168 Springfield Road. Excellent benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with robotic or automated equipment is an asset.
• Basic electrical knowledge and ability to diagnose common electrical issues.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose equipment issues and repair or replace defective parts and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance per schedules to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and maintain robotic and automated production equipment.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and drawings; assist with electrical issues.
