Job summary

Killam Apartment REIT in Dartmouth, NS is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our growing property management team. You will be responsible for installing trim items, maintaining and renovating residences, performing general maintenance, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality across our communities.

We value candidates with 3–5 years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work effectively both in a team and with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Interest in electrical apprenticeship is an asset.
• Teamwork abilities with capacity to work under minimal supervision.
• Renovations experience is an asset.
• Plumbing, electrical, or HVAC experience is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware;
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences;
• General maintenance and painting;
• Knowledge of plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, etc.;
• Participation in an on-call rotation;
• All other duties as required.

What you will do:

• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware;
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences;
