Job summary

Intersand in Ontario, Canada, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (electromechanic) to ensure production equipment runs reliably. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems to keep operations efficient and safe.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform start-ups, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and support the installation of new equipment, while documenting interventions in GAMO and adhering to WHMIS standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Vocational Studies in electromechanics, automated systems, or industrial mechanics.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company.
• Strong knowledge in welding, assembly, troubleshooting automated systems, and interpreting electrical diagrams.
• Solid understanding of WHMIS and preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform production start-ups, calibrations, and quality checks to ensure smooth operations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Replace and adjust components such as bearings, belts, valves, and sensors.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and document interventions in GAMO.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and participate in improvement projects.
• Troubleshoot automated systems and minimize downtime.
• Ensure health and safety standards, identify hazards, and report incidents promptly.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in good condition.
