Job summary

Premier Tech is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment and facilities running at peak performance. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot in real-time, and collaborate with the Production team to improve reliability and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of mechanical experience in manufacturing, strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and bilingual in French and English.

Qualifications

• 2 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and/or PLC troubleshooting.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Language skills: bilingual in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative maintenance to production equipment and building.
• Ensure equipment and production lines run efficiently.
• Coordinate inventory of parts and supplies with Production team.
• Evaluate and analyze opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Maintain a safe work environment within the site and on each job.

Required skills

• Excellent troubleshooting skills such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of electrical systems and/or PLC troubleshooting
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics - an asset
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Language skills: bilinguals in French and English
