Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar standards.

You will lead a maintenance team, manage work orders, oversee make-ready processes, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the community. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or related experience and/or training.
• 2+ years of experience in a residential building maintenance or facilities operations role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead by example and work hands-on alongside a maintenance team.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general construction.
• Strong understanding of the Ontario Fire Code, Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code, OHSA Act.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to create and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational demands.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent company management.
• Demonstrated mathematical skills for financial, administrative, and legal documents.
• Knowledge of current market trends and regulatory requirements.
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversees and completes the make-ready process for vacant apartments.
• Develops standards for grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar standards.
• Inspects work by other service team members for effectiveness and corrective action.
• Inspects work by contractors and vendors to ensure quality and scope adherence.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and materials; orders supplies as needed.
• Completes monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Conducts safety meetings and ensures OSHA compliance and MSDS availability.
• Demonstrates customer service by addressing questions and resolving maintenance concerns.
