Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Toronto to perform mechanical and technical tasks ensuring building cleanliness, safety and functionality. The role covers repairs, preventative maintenance, make-ready processes and grounds upkeep.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year maintenance experience, knowledge of plumbing/electrical systems, and strong customer service skills to interact with residents and team members.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required with related maintenance experience.
  • Minimum 1+ year in maintenance or similar role; multi-residential exposure is a plus.
  • Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry and HVAC systems preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate clearly; customer-focused demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Handle work orders and preventative maintenance to meet property standards.
  • Complete make-ready process for vacant units and coordinate vendors.
  • Track materials, equipment and inventory; report reorders as needed.
  • Document service requests accurately for record-keeping.
  • Maintain grounds and common areas; perform cleaning and painting as required.
  • Support cost-control by repairing instead of replacing when feasible.
