Job Summary:

To lead and support the maintenance team and external contractors, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and cGMP requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Work safely by following established practices; use PPE as required; report injuries or hazards immediately.
  2. Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to manage daily maintenance activities, participate in production planning, and optimize labor and schedules.
  3. Support packaging line trials for new products in collaboration with Production, Product Development, and Engineering teams.
  4. Coordinate with Maintenance, Production, and Change Over Champions to set priorities and responsibilities.
  5. Monitor line performance and downtime, provide daily updates to management.
  6. Assist with equipment setup and breakdown, verify maintenance documentation.
  7. Create and maintain setup standards for packaging equipment.
  8. Schedule and plan PM and corrective activities, ensuring materials and labor are available; communicate plans to all stakeholders.
  9. Maintain accurate equipment history and generate maintenance reports, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
  10. Oversee PM/Calibration planning, monitor performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  11. Generate purchase orders for maintenance parts and expedite procurement as needed.
  12. Serve as SAP SME for PM programs, respond to internal and regulatory queries.
  13. Manage maintenance inventory and critical spare parts.
  14. Coordinate with external contractors and supervise their work onsite.
  15. Identify and repair mechanical deficiencies, source parts.
  16. Participate in lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  17. Contribute to new capital projects and ensure smooth integration into maintenance systems.
  18. Plan team coverage for vacations and absences.
  19. Assess team skills and manage performance to foster development.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

Education: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field; or College diploma with trade experience and supervision background.

Experience: 2-3 years in a cGMP production environment (pharmaceutical, food & beverage, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Supervisory experience preferred; strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills; proficiency in MS Office; SAP PM experience advantageous; adaptable to change and fast-paced environments.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
  • Support off-shift work, including evenings and weekends; respond to emergency calls.
  • Frequent exposure to plant environment and hazardous materials.
