Primary Objective of the Position:

Responsible for duties outlined in Cargojet’s MCM, MPM, and Procedures manuals, as well as Aircraft Technical documentation. Assist with aircraft troubleshooting as requested by the YHM Maintenance Duty Manager.

Essential Position Functions:

1. Assign, coordinate, and ensure the timely completion of work by Technicians and Apprentices.
2. Perform aircraft inspections to meet Airworthiness standards and ensure maintenance complies with all regulations.
3. Maintain vehicles and equipment to company standards.
4. Properly tag, drain, clean, and return unserviceable components to quarantine stores.
5. Complete and certify maintenance forms, logbooks, and paperwork in accordance with manuals.
6. Stay knowledgeable of all relevant manuals and documents.
7. Assist in training Line Maintenance employees.
8. Manage shift schedules, employee training, vacations, breaks, and overtime in the absence of the Duty Manager.
9. Handle payroll documentation during the Duty Manager’s absence.
10. Coordinate Maintenance Shift Handovers.
11. Meet shift workload requirements.
12. Oversee quality control of work performed at the base.
13. Communicate with other Duty Managers, the YHM Base Manager, and Maintenance Directors during absences.
14. Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
15. Ensure GSE equipment is operational and report unserviceable equipment.
16. Report all Service Difficulty Reports (SDRs) to the Quality Assurance Manager.
17. Maintain the technical and regulatory manuals in the base library.
18. Ensure maintenance records are accurately completed and filed.
19. Perform duties of the Duty Manager during their absence.
20. Perform other duties as assigned by the Duty Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Post-secondary technical training.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, work under pressure, and excellent communication skills.
