Shift:

Afternoon (3 PM - 11 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to day-to-day projects and long-term planning through leading and executing maintenance projects, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and supporting the Maintenance team.
2. Lead, coach, and develop the Maintenance team by providing feedback and conducting formal evaluations to ensure team members have the necessary skills, competencies, and resources to meet departmental and company objectives.
3. Complete administrative duties such as approving overtime, updating Dayforce, and managing vacation schedules efficiently.
4. Lead daily shift handover meetings, providing project updates, assigning tasks, and communicating countermeasures when necessary.
5. Support maintenance cost containment by tracking labor overtime.
6. Conduct workplace safety inspections related to safety standards, GMP compliance, and equipment issues.
7. Set an example by working safely and adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.

Recipe for Success:

• Post-secondary education in Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food services or baking.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with automation, PLCs, instrumentation, robotic applications, and bulk handling systems.
• Familiarity with facility maintenance and plant equipment.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Positive attitude with a focus on safety and teamwork.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
