Primary Objective:

Responsible for duties as outlined in Cargojet’s manuals and aircraft technical documentation. Assist with aircraft troubleshooting as requested by the YHM Maintenance Duty Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign, coordinate, and ensure the timely completion of work by technicians and apprentices.
• Perform aircraft inspections to meet airworthiness standards.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment to company standards.
• Properly tag, drain, clean, and return unserviceable components to quarantine stores.
• Complete and certify maintenance forms, logbooks, and paperwork per company manuals.
• Be knowledgeable of all relevant company and government manuals.
• Assist in training line maintenance employees.
• During the Duty Manager's absence, manage shift schedules, employee training, vacations, breaks, overtime, and backups.
• Manage payroll documentation, shift handovers, and workload requirements in the Duty Manager's absence.
• Oversee quality control of work performed at the base.
• Communicate with other managers and directors as needed.
• Ensure a safe and clean workplace.
• Maintain GSE equipment and report issues.
• Report service difficulty findings to the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Maintain the base library of manuals and ensure proper record-keeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Post-secondary technical training.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and excellent communication skills.
