About the opportunity:

The Maintenance Planning Supervisor is the leader in the execution and optimization of the preventive maintenance program. In addition, the Maintenance Planning Supervisor establishes and maintains the preventive maintenance program, plans resources, evaluates, and designs maintenance procedures. The Supervisor also works closely with the Production Maintenance, Shipping and Purchasing departments to achieve operational performance objectives.

The attributes we are looking for:

• Manage the preventive maintenance schedule on a daily basis by scheduling work, materials, staffing requirements and ensuring that the work order history is kept up to date.
• Create and update work orders.
• Acts as a super-user of the CMMS software.
• Plan the structure of production stops in collaboration with the different departments.
• Write and prepare the different reports related to maintenance.
• Develop and follow up a preventive maintenance program.
• Provide leadership to improve health and safety performance by acting as a safety role model and being diligent in implementing the elements of the company's health and safety program. These elements focus on preventing incidents by identifying hazards, implementing necessary controls, training, education, and audits.
• Where appropriate, take corrective action to address unsafe employee situations and behaviors, uphold Lactalis' basic principle and other safety rules and procedures, and communicate with appropriate resources to address any unsafe conditions or unsafe employee conduct.
• Ensure the implementation and follow-up of health and safety interventions recommended by the Health and Safety Committee and/or management.
• Develops and implements medium- and long-term maintenance planning in accordance with production requirements.
• Participates in the resolution of technical problems and implements suggested improvements.
• Determine requirements for the purchase of external materials and services.
• Prepares requisitions when materials are required and follows up on receipt to ensure timeliness.
• Develops procedures and work methods for the management and execution of various aspects of maintenance.
• Participates in the development of maintenance budgets.
• Replaces the maintenance supervisor and buyer as needed.
• Ensures the generation, planning and optimization of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance work.
• Develops the structure and maintenance of technical information and documentation.
• Any other task assigned by his/her supervisor.

What you will bring:

• College diploma in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or automated production.
• Three (3) years related experience in a similar position.
• SAP experience with Maintenance, Purchasing & Inventory modules.
• Experience working in the food industry, preferably unionized would be an asset.
• Strong organizational skills, priority management
• The candidate must be able to coordinate various files simultaneously
• Ambassador of occupational health and safety
• Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure due to emergencies and plant specific requirements
• Very good understanding of manufacturing process requirements.
• Knowledge of computer technology such as SAP, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Word.
• Fluency in written and spoken French and English is an asset
