Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Mississauga, ON, is seeking a Maintenance Millwright 433A to join our plant operations. The role reports to the Plant Manager and involves day-to-day maintenance, building repairs and project work with minimal supervision, supporting all departments as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold a Millwright 433A license, have a minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, and be physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Millwright 433A license required.
• Minimum 3 years in industrial maintenance including building repairs, cleaning, landscaping.
• Basic repair/maintenance skills required.
• Physically capable of bending, pushing and lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Able to follow directions and work independently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Can do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor plumbing repairs and installations.
• Assists with periodic sprinkler system testing.
• Maintains grounds maintenance including debris cleanup, removing snow, and ice.
• Performs routine painting, light bulb changes and other related maintenance.
• Trims shrubbery and cultivates flower beds in season.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
