Job summary

Jaylor Fabricating is seeking a Machine Operator in Orton, Ontario. This in-person role requires operating large metalworking equipment and maintaining safety standards while contributing to a team-focused environment.

Hours follow a 4x10 shift; pay ranges from $21.90 to $26.90 per hour with benefits after a probation period. We value reliability, manual dexterity, and teamwork to support local agriculture.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or a similar role.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery and safety equipment.
  • Competent with overhead cranes and forklifts; CNC familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Completing general machine operations daily.
  • Operating large machinery including a plasma table and CNC brake press.
  • Operating saws, drill press, iron worker, etc.
  • Basic mathematical, mechanical, and technical skills are assets.
  • Willing to work outside in all weather conditions and perform physical work.
  • Perform, set up and operate a variety of metal working equipment.
  • Follow all safety regulations in accordance with OHSA and company policies.

Requirements
Required Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role in manufacturing
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Ability to operate an overhead crane (Jaylor will train and certify, experience is an asset)
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery, tools, etc.
  • Able to operate forklifts (Jaylor will train and certify, experience is an asset)
  • CNC experience is considered an asset (Jaylor will train and certify, experience is an asset)
  • Physical requirements include standing for long periods of time, lifting 50 pounds, and bending
  • Great communication skills
  • Has an eye for detail
  • Enjoys working with machines
