Job summary

Scarborough Health Network is seeking an MRT - Radiology, CT (BIR) to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. You will perform radiographic exams, manage patient data, and assist with CT training as part of ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities include patient-centered care across Birchmount Site and other SHN locations, with shift flexibility across days, evenings, nights and weekends. Registered RT with CAMRT/CMRIT Ontario Radiology is required, with CPR certification and strong

Qualifications

  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario – Radiology.
  • CT scanning experience (head) and renal colic experience preferred.
  • Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in a multidisciplinary imaging setting.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementation and evaluating patient care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family centred care environment. The Registered Technologist (MRT) will be responsible for the complete range of tests and procedures related to General Radiography, patient information registry and report preparation, equipment maintenance, and other duties as relevant. The expectation of all successful candidates is the future willingness to be trained in full-line Computerized Technology (CT) and to successfully complete the CAMRT CT certification. The successful candidate will be working across all three hospital locations.

Requirements:
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario – Radiology
  • Scanning in CT head and renal colic experience preferred
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide service excellence and patient focused care
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and utilize critical decision-making skills
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
