Job summary

Scarborough Health Network is seeking an MRT - Radiology, CT (CEN) to join our diagnostic imaging team. The successful candidate will assist with General Radiography and CT procedures, maintain registries and reports, and support across three hospital locations.

Training toward CAMRT CT certification will be provided. The role requires registration with the Ontario College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists in Radiology, CPR, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario – Radiology.
  • Experience with CT imaging and general radiography procedures preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and patient-focused care orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Perform General Radiography and CT-related tests and procedures as assigned across SHN sites.
  • Maintain patient information registry, prepare reports and ensure equipment maintenance and safety.

Job Description

Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementation and evaluating patient care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family centered care environment. The Registered Technologist (MRT) will be responsible for the complete range of tests and procedures related to General Radiography, patient information registry and report preparation, equipment maintenance, and other duties as relevant.
The expectation of all successful candidates is the future willingness to be trained in full-line Computerized Technology (CT) and to successfully complete the CAMRT CT certification.
The successful candidate will be working across all three hospital locations.

Requirements
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario – Radiology
  • Scanning in CT head and renal colic experience preferred
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide service excellence and patient focused care
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and utilize critical decision-making skills
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues and volunteers and other members of the community and public
