Job summary

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is seeking a Registered MRT in Radiology to perform general radiography and CT-related responsibilities across Birchmount and other SHN sites. Responsibilities include patient care, report preparation, equipment maintenance, and registry duties.

The role offers permanent, full-time employment with day, afternoon, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. CT training and CAMRT certification are encouraged, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and patient-centered

Qualifications

• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario – Radiology is required.
• CT experience in head imaging and renal colic is preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Perform the full range of General Radiography tests and procedures and prepare reports.
• Maintain equipment and manage patient information registry.
• Willingness to train in full-line CT and pursue CAMRT CT certification.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementation and evaluating patient care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family centred care environment. The Registered Technologist (MRT) will be responsible for the complete range of tests and procedures related to General Radiography, patient information registry and report preparation, equipment maintenance, and other duties as relevant. The expectation of all successful candidates is the future willingness to be trained in full-line Computerized Technology (CT) and to successfully complete the CAMRT CT certification. The successful candidate will be working across all three hospital locations.

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario – Radiology
• Scanning in CT head and renal colic experience preferred
• Valid CPR certification
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide service excellence and patient focused care
• Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and utilize critical decision-making skills
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues and volunteers and other members of the community and public
