Here’s what we need from you:

  • 2+ years of experience in long-cycle enterprise software or sales and/or 1+ year of experience in M&A/VC/PE deal sourcing (experience in software sales)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and capable of establishing and building rapport remotely
  • CRM database and company research skills (ideally Salesforce)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business/Economics or a related field is preferred
  • Advanced time management, attention to detail, organisational, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
  • Adaptable and flexible, with an ability to respond to changing work priorities, pressure and demands
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work autonomously and think independently, and open to learning and sharing new ideas
  • Desire to travel to meet with companies and attend trade shows (ad hoc basis)
  • Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (nice-to-have)
  • Advanced Salesforce experience and proficiency in Salesforce reporting (nice-to-have)
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in both English and Spanish (required)

The fine print of this gig:

Your role will report to the Chief Investment Officer, and be based at our acQuire Calgary office in Calgary, Canada. You will be required to:

  • Establish, maintain, and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders of vertical market software businesses that meet our strategic criteria, helping to progress prospective targets through the deal sourcing pipeline
  • Identify strategic acquisition opportunities that meet our criteria, and add new companies and contacts to our proprietary CRM database
  • Analyse, manage, and search our existing CRM database for available prospects and stale leads that should be nurtured
  • Plan, develop, and conduct prospecting campaigns through LinkedIn, email, calling, attendance at trade shows, and in-person meetings
