Job summary

Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board invites applications for a Teacher – Long Term Occasional (LTO) at Mother St Bride in North Bay. 1.0 FTE, SK/Grade 1, effective December 1, 2026, for an indeterminate period but not beyond June 30, 2027.

Mandatory qualifications include basic qualifications to teach in the Primary Division. Preferred requirements include knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum, literacy and numeracy strategies, data-driven instruction, and experience with Google

• Knowledge and experience in using student data to drive instruction.
• Experience with Google Classroom, Google Meet, G-Suite tools and EDSBY to facilitate instruction and parent communication.
• Proven ability to implement effective classroom management.
• Commitment to participate in the school's professional learning team.
• Willingness to take on extra-curricular duties.
• Knowledge of the school environment; special education qualifications are assets.

• Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
• Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Understanding of the Ontario Curriculum, the Ontario Kindergarten Program (2016) and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
• Knowledge and experience in supporting comprehensive (structured) literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction.
• Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
• Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
• Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
• Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
• Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset
• Additional qualifications in Special Education would be an asset
