Job summary

Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board invites applications for a Teacher – Long Term Occasional (LTO) at Mother St Bride in North Bay. 1.0 FTE, SK/Grade 1, effective December 1, 2026, for an indeterminate period but not beyond June 30, 2027.

Mandatory qualifications include basic qualifications to teach in the Primary Division. Preferred requirements include knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum, literacy and numeracy strategies, data-driven instruction, and experience with Google

Qualifications

Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary Division.
Sound knowledge of programs and teaching experience in the Primary Division.
Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies.
Demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Understanding of the Ontario Curriculum and Ontario Kindergarten Program (2016) and strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy.
Knowledge and experience in using student data to drive instruction.
Experience with Google Classroom, Google Meet, G-Suite tools and EDSBY to facilitate instruction and parent communication.
Proven ability to implement effective classroom management.
Commitment to participate in the school's professional learning team.
Willingness to take on extra-curricular duties.
Knowledge of the school environment; special education qualifications are assets.
