Job summary

Hancon Mining Division Inc. in Timmins, Ontario is seeking an experienced Longhole Supervisor to lead underground drilling, blasting and cable-bolting operations. You will ensure safety, productivity and adherence to project requirements in a dynamic underground environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of underground supervisory experience, strong leadership and knowledge of mining regulations. Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and hold a valid First Aid certificate.

This position will join our team working in Timmins, Ontarioon a full-time basis. The schedule willprimarily depend on employee location and travel requirements.

This position offers a salary range of $60.00 - $72.00 perhour.

PrimaryResponsibilities

The Longhole Supervisor will provide frontlinesupervision of production drilling, blasting and cable-bolting activities whileensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with projectrequirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Directand supervise underground longhole crews
• Coordinatedaily drilling, blasting and cable-bolting activities
• Assignpersonnel and equipment according to the production schedule
• Conductshift line-ups, workplace inspections and safety meetings
• Monitorproductivity, quality and compliance with approved work procedures
• Coordinatedrill moves, blast preparation and work-area readiness
• Communicatewith mine operations, engineering, survey, ground control and maintenance
• Identifyand address production delays, equipment issues and operationalconstraints
• Verifyemployee qualifications and ensure workers are assigned appropriate tasks
• Maintainshift reports, production records and relevant documentation
• Promotesafe work practices and reinforce Hancon's safety expectations
• Supportemployee development, training and performance management
• Assistthe Project Foreman with planning, scheduling and project execution

PreferredExperience

• Minimum3+ years of underground mining supervisory experience
• OntarioFirst Line Production Supervisor Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core
• Stronglonghole drilling and blasting background
• Previousexperience supervising underground production crews
• Strongunderstanding of underground mining regulations and safe work practices
• Demonstratedleadership, communication and organizational skills
• Abilityto coordinate personnel, equipment and multiple underground work areas
• ValidFirst Aid certificate
• Validdriver’s license
• Eligibleto work in Canada
