Job summary

Hancon Mining Division Division Inc. is hiring for an underground electrician to join our Matachewan, Ontario team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing electrical systems for underground mining operations, with a 7 days on/7 days off schedule.

The ideal candidate holds an Ontario 309A Construction & Maintenance or 442A Industrial Electrician Certificate and has 2–3 years of underground experience, a valid driver’s licence, and the ability to work safely in a team.

Qualifications

• Strong safety mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Two to three years of experience as an underground electrician is preferred.
• Valid Ontario 309A/442A certificate or equivalent.
• Driver's licence and eligibility to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on underground mining equipment and electrical systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, manuals, and equipment specifications.
• Work in accordance with Ontario Electrical Safety Code and mining regulations, including lockout/tagout.
• Collaborate with Mine Operations, Maintenance and site personnel to support safe underground operations.
• Participate in workplace inspections and safety initiatives.
• All other duties as assigned.

About This Opportunity

This position will join our team working in Matachewan,Ontario on a full-time basis. Theschedule is 7 days on, 7 days off.

This position offers a salary range of $85.00 to $96.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Performelectrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs onunderground mining equipment, infrastructure, and electrical systems tomaintain safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
• Readand interpret electrical drawings, schematics, manuals, and equipmentspecifications.
• Completeelectrical work in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code,Ontario mining regulations, and company/site procedures, includinglockout/tagout procedures.
• Workclosely with various departments, including Mine Operations, Maintenance,and other site personnel, to support safe, efficient, and reliableunderground operations.
• Participatein workplace inspections, safety meetings, and other site safetyinitiatives.
• Allother duties as assigned
  

Qualifications

• ValidOntario 309A Construction & Maintenance or 442A Industrial ElectricianCertificate of Qualification.
• Twoto three years of experience as an underground electrician is preferred
• BasicUnderground Hard Rock Miner Common Core Program (770010) with modulesU0000, U0001, U0002, U00012 and U0024 as a minimum.
• Strongsafety mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Validdriver's licence.
• Eligibleto work in Canada
