Job summary

Hancon Mining Division Inc. in Canada is seeking a qualified Underground Mechanic to join our team in Matachewan, Ontario.

The role is full-time, with a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, and a pay range of $85.00 to $96.00 per hour. You will perform mechanical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on underground mining equipment, conduct preventative maintenance per OEM guidelines, and collaborate with Mine Operations and Maintenance to maintain safe, reliable operations, while

Qualifications

• A valid Red Seal/Journeyperson License as a Truck and Coach Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Two to three years of experience as an underground mechanic is preferred.
• Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core Program (770010) with modules U0000, U0001, U0002, U00012 and U0024 as a minimum.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on underground mining equipment and systems to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections in accordance with OEM recommendations and site maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete repairs efficiently to minimize downtime and support production.
• Work closely with various departments, including Mine Operations, Maintenance, and other site personnel, to support safe, efficient, and reliable underground operations.
• Participate in workplace inspections, safety meetings, and other site safety initiatives.
• All other duties as assigned

About This Opportunity
