Job summary

Colonial Group in Calgary, AB, seeks an Inbound / Outbound Coordinator to coordinate and support daily warehouse operations ensuring products and customer orders are received, processed, stored, picked, packed, staged, loaded, and shipped accurately.

You will monitor schedules, prioritize workflows, and collaborate with Purchasing, Customer Service, Inventory Control, and Transportation teams to maintain inventory accuracy and on-time order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control processes, and product flow management.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF scanners, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and operational excellence.
• Understanding of warehouse health and safety requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily inbound and outbound warehouse activities, including receiving, unloading, inspection, verification, put-away, order fulfillment, picking, packing, staging, loading, and shipping operations.
• Monitor inbound shipment schedules, receiving queues, order volumes, and shipping schedules to ensure timely processing.
• Prioritize and coordinate daily workflows based on delivery schedules, customer requirements, inventory needs, and capacity.
• Ensure inbound shipments and outbound orders are accurately received, verified, processed, picked, packed, labeled, documented, and completed.
• Coordinate shipment appointments and maintain communication with suppliers, transportation providers, carriers, branches, purchasing teams, customer service teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare, review, and maintain receiving and shipping documentation (POs, transfer records, packing slips, bills of lading, manifests, discrepancy reports, inventory transaction records).
• Monitor shipment status and address delays, shortages, damages, quality concerns, and service issues.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Customer Service, Inventory Control, Transportation, and branch teams to investigate receiving discrepancies and order fulfillment issues.
• Verify warehouse and inventory transactions in WMS and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Support inventory accuracy through transaction verification, investigations, and variance resolution.
• Coordinate movement of products throughout the distribution centre to support flow, inventory availability, and customer service objectives.
• Monitor operational performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and dock utilization.
• Communicate daily priorities, workload requirements, staffing needs, and expectations to warehouse staff.
• Support onboarding and training related to warehouse operations, inventory transactions, equipment operation, safety practices, and company procedures.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Escalate concerns to Distribution Centre leadership as required.
