Job summary

The Manitoulin Group of Companies is seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator in Canada to manage freight movements and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely shipments.

Ideal candidates will have strong English and French communication, negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining SOPs and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Handles all assigned customer requests for freight movement.
• Communicates with logistics technicians, customer service, sales, and others about shipment information.
• Negotiates with customers and carriers.
• Maintains and follows SOPs for various customers.
• Communicates with customers regularly on shipments.

• Handle all assigned customer requests for freight movement
• Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, Sales staff, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products about information related to the shipment.
• Builds and maintains carrier relationships.
• Successfully conducts and completes all assigned training.
• Participates in continuous improvement training and trains others.
• Negotiation with both customers and carriers.
• Maintain and follow all SOPs for various customers.
• Provides additional backup support for the team when required.
• Communicate with customers on a regular basis on any shipments being handled.

• Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges
• Ability to conduct detailed procedures in a time constrained environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
