Job summary

Manitoulin Transport in Mississauga is seeking a motivated logistics professional to handle customer requests for freight movement and coordinate with carriers and internal teams.

You will build carrier relationships, participate in training, and ensure shipments comply with SOPs while providing regular updates to customers.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in English and French.
• Ability to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle all assigned customer requests for freight movement.
• Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, Sales staff, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products about information related to the shipment.
• Builds and maintains carrier relationships.
• Successfully conducts and completes all assigned training.
• Participates in continuous improvement training and trains others.
• Negotiation with both customers and carriers.
• Maintain and follow all SOPs for various customers.
• Provides additional backup support for the team when required.
• Communicate with customers on a regular basis on any shipments being handled.

Job Description

• Handle all assigned customer requests for freight movement
