Job summary

Clean Harbors in Burlington, ON is hiring entry-level full-time Laborers to join a safety-conscious team responsible for industrial cleaning at refineries, chemicals plants and manufacturing facilities.

The role offers health benefits after 30 days, RRSP matching, paid training, progression opportunities and a base hourly wage starting at $25.00/hr with annual increases. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel up to 15% of the year.

Qualifications

• Previous manual labor experience required (Industrial or Construction based background considered a strong asset)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel 15% of the year, up to 5-10 days at a time for project-based work
• Ability to work on call for Emergency Response work as required
• Willing to work indoors/outdoors in all type of weather conditions for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Assisting the Operators in the safe operation of all units
• Ensuring the job site placement of the unit is safe, stable and secure
• Completing all required paperwork on a daily basis
• Rigging equipment in and out
• General clean up and maintenance of units upon completion of the job
• Provides high levels of customer service with internal employees and external clients.
