Job summary

Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. is seeking a Part-Time Class 1 Driver to perform local city LTL deliveries and pickups in Castlegar and surrounding areas.

You will operate various tractor-trailer combinations and travel between our Castlegar terminal and customer facilities within the service area, while conducting thorough pre-trips and post-trip inspections. Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of P&D experience.
Valid Class 1 Driver's License.
Clean driving abstract.
Strong work ethic and safety-first attitude.
Good communication and time management skills.
Comfortable operating a handheld computer device.
Comfortable operating a manual pallet jack.

Responsibilities

Performing local city LTL deliveries and pickups in Castlegar and surrounding areas.
Operating various tractor-trailer combinations based on delivery needs.
Traveling between the Castlegar terminal and customer facilities within the service area.
Conducting pre-trips, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
Ensuring all freight is handled with care and delivered safely and on time.
