Job summary

Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. is seeking a Part-Time Class 1 Driver to perform local city LTL deliveries and pickups in Castlegar and surrounding areas.

You will operate various tractor-trailer combinations and travel between our Castlegar terminal and customer facilities within the service area, while conducting thorough pre-trips and post-trip inspections. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of P&D experience, a valid Class 1 license, a clean driving abstract, and a safety-first work ethic with

• Clean driving abstract.
• Strong work ethic and safety-first attitude.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Comfortable operating a handheld computer device.
• Comfortable operating a manual pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Performing local city LTL deliveries and pickups in Castlegar and surrounding areas.
• Operating various tractor-trailer combinations based on delivery needs.
• Traveling between the Castlegar terminal and customer facilities within the service area.
• Conducting pre-trips, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Ensuring all freight is handled with care and delivered safely and on time.
