Job summary

Canada Cartage in Surrey, BC is seeking a dependable Class 1 Truck Driver for overnight runs. You will operate tractor-trailer equipment, complete deliveries and pickups across BC, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a valid Class 1 license, a clean CVOR, and recent driving experience. You’ll report to the operations team, handle e-logs and delivery documentation, and stay flexible for overtime and weekend schedules.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 license and eligible to work in Canada
• Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract
• Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within past 3–12 months)
• Sleeper truck age not older than 6 years
• Able to drive at night and in winter conditions

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailer equipment on city routes and regional lanes
• Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within BC safely and on time
• Secure freight with straps, chains, and load bars and ensure load-securing standards
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues promptly
• Maintain accurate documentation including e-logs, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
• Adhere to hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
• Maintain flexibility for variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs
