Job summary

Discovery Silver invites applications for a Loading Pocket Attendant to support mining operations in Hoyle. You will operate forklifts, rock breakers, and conveyors, coordinating with the Frontline Supervisor to maintain safety and efficiency in the loading pocket.

The role requires a High School Diploma and Underground Common Core, with a minimum of twelve months mining experience. Training in fall protection and oxy/acetylene is an asset; a positive safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Underground Common Core certificate required or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate forklift and rock breakers.
• Experience with conveyor systems and guarding is desirable.
• Minimum of twelve months mining experience.
• Fall arrest training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and support to mining operations.
• Operate lifting equipment and conveyance systems safely.
• Assist with chute guarding and rock-breaking tasks as needed.
• Maintain and monitor conveyor systems and equipment.
• Follow Frontline Supervisor instructions and safety protocols.
