Job summary

GWL Realty Advisors in Winnipeg is hiring a Loading Dock Master to manage shipping, receiving and distribution for all goods entering the complex, including Canada Post mail, couriers, furniture and food deliveries.

You will maintain documentation, process waybills, and coordinate pickups with internal teams while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Experience in ship/receiving and familiarity with SAP and Excel are valued, with forklift training considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Shipper/Receiver type of experience.
• Highschool Diploma.
• Forklift training is an asset.
• Organized/Attention to Detail.
• Working level experience in Excel, SAP and Word.
• Ability to deal with internal and external personnel with both written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Receipt, shipping and distribution of all goods and services entering the complex.
• Ensure documentation, waybills and delivery slips are correct and match goods.
• Coordinate pickup of materials and disposal of used pallets.
• Record receiving information for reporting in SAP/Neopost systems.
• Monitor mail distribution and vendor access at the loading dock.
• Provide support to Dock Hand and communicate with internal clients.

The loading dock handles all incoming and outgoing shipments for all business areas and lines of business within the company. Within this environment, the Loading Dock Master is responsible for the shipping, receipt and distribution of all goods entering the complex. This includes Canada Post mail, courier mail and packages, furniture deliveries, food deliveries, etc.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the receipt, shipping and distribution of all goods and services that enter the complex
• Ensure that the documentation, waybill, delivery slips and the goods are correct and correspond in every respect
• Responsible for coordinating the pickup of all materials within the complex and deliver and coordinate disposal of used pallets throughout complex
• Access, enter and operate programs to record receiving information for reporting and tracking
• Identify and print purchase orders for incoming purchased goods and record in SAP system. Also involves data input to Neopost Programming
• Monitor Mail Distribution Mailbox for pickups/deliveries, including tracking and reporting
• Monitor all incoming vendors and contractors accessing Canada Life via the loading dock
• Fill out access logs and issue temporary contractor badges
• Work with building security to monitor all activity including maintenance of entry points
• Handle all direct inquiries from internal clients via face to face, phone, and e-mail in a timely and professional manner
• Monitor schedules of internal deliveries/pickups
• Provide support to Dock Hand as needed
