Job summary

Primrose Livestock in Southern Alberta is seeking a Livestock Cost & Inventory Analyst to manage documentation for purchases, sales, and inventory control of all owned and brokered cattle.

The role requires accounting acumen, proficiency in Excel, strong mathematical and transactional accuracy, and excellent customer communication. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with benefits included and peak-season overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Background in Accounting.
• Certificate or Diploma in an Accounting related field is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of mathematical equations with accurate transaction calculations.
• Customer service focused with excellent communication skills.
• Keen eye for detail with strong follow-through.
• Self-directed and organized with ability to manage changing priorities.
• Experience in the cattle industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Administer the documentation for the Purchase and Sale of Cattle.
• Maintain and record inventory movement.

Livestock Cost & Inventory Analyst

*Accounting Acumen Required

This integral role handles the documentation regarding the Purchase, Sale, & Inventory Control of All Owned and Brokered Cattle.

Responsibilities:

• Administer the Documentation for the Purchase and Sale of Cattle
• Maintain and Record Inventory Movement
• Analysis and Projections for Transactions
• Maintain Processing Records
• Review, Verify and Maintain Feed Bills
• Communicate with both Customers and Vendors
• Various Administrative Duties, as required
