Job summary

Chai Social is seeking an experienced line cook in Milton, ON to run the line and handle prep for our South Asian menu. You will prep and cook the full menu, maintain recipe specs and plating standards on every ticket, and ensure your station stays clean and food-safe.

You will track stock levels, flag shortages, and help minimize waste. Evening and weekend shifts are required; Food Handler certification is preferred, but we’ll train the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 1+ year on a line.
• South Asian cuisine experience is a strong plus, but we’ll train the menu to someone with solid fundamentals.
• Food handler certification preferred.

We\'re hiring an experienced cook to run the line and handle prep.

• Prep and cook our full menu: pakoras, samosas, paratha rolls, vada pav, paneer rolls, bun kebabs, chaat boards, and desserts.
• Hold recipe specs and plating standards on every ticket, including through the dinner and late-night rush.
• Keep your station and the kitchen clean and food-safe.
• Track stock levels, flag what\'s running low, keep waste down.

What we need:

• 1+ years on a line. South Asian cuisine experience is a strong plus, but we\'ll train the menu to someone with solid fundamentals.
• Food handler certification (or willing to get one before you start).
• Comfortable working evenings and weekends, including shifts until 12 AM Friday and Saturday.
• Reliable transportation to Milton.
