Salary: $36.00 per hour; full-time position

Job Description:

• Specialization in preparing Indian curry dishes and Indian sweets.
• Prepare assortment of Indian breads, including Garlic naan, Stuffed naan, Keema naan, Peshawari naan and Lachha Prantha.
• Follow recipes and prepare dishes according to traditional methods including the preparation of Indian sweets (mithai) and snacks, such as Gulab Jamun, Barfi, and Laddu, maintain a high-quality taste, presentation and hygiene standards.
• Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
• Work with kitchen staff and oversee the preparation, cooking and handling of food.
• Inspect supplies, equipment and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
• Inspect and clean kitchen and food service areas.
• Estimate food requirements and requisition food or other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation.
• Check the quantity and quality of received products.
• Prepare and plan new dishes as per customer demand.
• Prepare special orders.
• Uphold highest quality and food safety standards.

Requirements:

• Secondary school studies
• Minimum 3 years of commercial cooking experience specializing in Indian-style cuisine
