Job summary

The Law Society of BC is seeking a permanent, full-time Licensing Analyst in our Registration & Licensee Services department in Vancouver. The role reports to the Director and supports the core functions of the department by processing applications, issuing certificates, maintaining records, and responding to inquiries.

Responsibilities include reviewing eligibility, processing submissions, and issuing invoices under regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three years of customer service and/or office experience.
• Experience in a regulatory environment preferred.
• Familiarity with legal language is an asset.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
• Strong data analysis, problem solving, and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication; collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Review applicant eligibility, assess requirements, process applications and requests, issue invoices and refunds per regulatory framework.
• Respond to general queries from applicants, articled students, lawyers and the public.
• Create, process, and maintain documents and records per policies.
• Assist the Director with other tasks, projects, or duties as assigned.
