Job summary

The Law Society of BC is seeking a permanent, full-time Licensing Coordinator in Vancouver. Reporting to the Director, this role manages student-related applications, processes complex requests, and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely service delivery.

Responsibilities include overseeing workflow, responding to inquiries, and leading process improvements while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Hybrid work arrangements are available in Vancouver.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five years of relevant regulatory experience or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
• Direct experience with registration and licensing applications, processes and systems is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Review applicant eligibility and process complex applications in accordance with the regulatory framework.
• Respond to inquiries from applicants, lawyers and external parties.
• Monitor department workflows and service standards to ensure timely processing.
• Lead process improvements and support departmental changes and projects.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on procedures and regulations.
