Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience within a regulatory body, government or law firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree and graduation from a recognized paralegal program.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Canadian legal system, administrative law, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Legal Counsel with cases in Council’s disciplinary processes, including hearings and tribunals.
  • Manage calendars, case-tracking, and filing systems.
  • Review documents, perform redactions, draft legal documents and reports.
  • Prepare materials for monthly Council meetings and other governance activities.
  • Coordinate accommodations for disciplinary matters, including translation or interpretation.
  • Support scheduling and logistics for hearings and meetings.
