The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) applies the nursing process to support clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health within a people-centered care approach. The LPN works to the full scope of practice, engages in ongoing education, and maintains competency consistent with Southern Health-Santé Sud policies, Professional Standards of Practice, the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics, the Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba, and the Regulated Health Professions Act. The incumbent uses initiative and independent judgment to determine work priorities and actions on unusual matters. The position aligns with the organization’s mission, vision, values, and policies.
