Alberta Health Services in High Level seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join an interprofessional health care team, providing safe, patient- and family-centered care guided by standards and policies at High Level Northwest Health Ct.
The role supports Acute Care/Long Term Care with a 0.50 FTE schedule, rotating days, nights and weekends per rotation. A valid LPN license and BCLS-HCP are required, with postings ending 05-OCT-2026 and date available 15-OCT-2026.
In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Northern Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $6,300. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.Permanent and temporary employees working in excess of one (1) year whose work sites are above the 57th parallel are also eligible to receive an annual reimbursement of personal travel expenses to an annual maximum of $1,235. Eligible employees will be reimbursed for the cost of one (1) round trip, per calendar year, to any destination within Alberta. Travel must originate from a community above the 57th parallel to any destination within Alberta and cannot be carried over.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
