Alberta Health Services in Redwater, AB is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Emergency, Acute Care and Long Term Care teams at Redwater Health Centre.
You will provide patient- and family-centered care across the life span, guided by your education and registration, with standards of practice set by the Alberta College of LPNs.
This 1.0 FTE position offers shift work in a rural community with supports to ensure safe, high-quality care and opportunities for professional development.

Your role as a Licensed Practical Nurse will improve the lives of Albertans, providing patient- and family-centered care across the life span through your work in the areas of Emergency, Acute Care and Long Term Care.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Demonstrated excellent assessment, organization and patient care skills required along with the ability to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner. Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating priorities and workloads. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Must be able to identify own learning needs and seek guidance in professional practice where knowledge deficits occur. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Ability to work shift work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. An excellent attendance record, reliability, and personal suitability must be demonstrated through employment references.
Experience working as an LPN in a rural acute care/emergency assignment is preferred.
