Clean Harbors in Sarnia, Ontario is seeking a Licensed Mobile Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our safety‑first team. The role involves on‑site and client locations with up to 100% travel across the area, focusing on maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of fleet equipment.

The ideal candidate has a Journeyperson Truck and Coach Technician Certificate and 3+ years of heavy equipment experience, with assets in hydraulics and vacuum trucks, plus a valid Class 5 license.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Truck and Coach Technician Certificate is required.
• 3+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Hydraulics experience is an asset.
• Vacuum trucks experience is an asset.
• Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract is required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety through compliance with all safe work practices and processes.
• Complete FLHAs/JHAs for each job.
• Work independently on customer sites.
• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair light or heavy‑duty vehicles/equipment.
• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance for reliability.
• Complete warranty and other documentation.
• Disassemble/inspect/replace worn components as needed.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace with regular housekeeping.
