Job summary

Atlantic Packaging Products Ltd. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to keep conveyors and equipment running safely in our Ontario manufacturing facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, install new machinery, and maintain CMMS documentation to minimize downtime.

The role requires a Red Seal/433A license, 2–3 years of manufacturing experience, and welding experience. Competitive hourly wage of $47.08.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License - 433A
• Red Seal Journeyman certification
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing
• Exposure to mechanical devices, pneumatic controls and welding/cutting
• All position welding preferred (stainless steel pipe, guard repairs, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Minimize downtime through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Repair and replace pumps, valves, motors, etc.
• Install new machines and equipment.
• Maintain documentation in CMMS.
• Prepare maintenance reports and recommendations for improvements.
• Inform production workers of routine maintenance plans.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment.

The Opportunity

Ensure operation of mechanical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting problems on conveyors, machinery, with use of manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, etc. The hourly wage rate for this position is $47.08.

What You’ll Do

• Focus on minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance and good troubleshooting techniques
• Prepare maintenance reports by Make recommendations as necessary for improvements
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending education workshops
• Repair and replace as necessary pumps, valves, motors, etc.
• Perform quality checks on all work performed
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices and use of personal protective equipment
• Prepare maintenance reports by making recommendations as necessary for improvements
• Maintain documentation as required by Atlantic Packaging
• Required to utilize documentation in CMMS
• Install new machines and equipment
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and other duties as assigned
• Inform production workers of routine mechanical preventive maintenance plans

What You Bring
