Job summary

Atlantic Packaging is seeking a Licensed Millwright 433A for our Whitby, ON facility. This on-site, full-time role focuses on preventive maintenance, machine installation and troubleshooting of conveyors and equipment. The position offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for growth within a long-standing Canadian company.

The successful candidate will read mechanical drawings, perform repairs, and maintain documentation in CMMS while ensuring safety and quality in every task.

Qualifications

• Must hold Ontario 433A license or Red Seal Journeyman certification.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exposure to mechanical devices, pneumatic controls and welding/cutting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot mechanical systems and conveyors using manuals, diagrams and blueprints.
• Install new machines and equipment.
• Utilize CMMS documentation.
• Repair and replace pumps, valves and motors as needed.
• Minimize downtime through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment per health, safety and PPE policies.

The Opportunity

Ensure operation of mechanical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting problems on conveyors, machinery, with use of manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, etc. The hourly wage rate for this position: $47.08

What You’ll Do

• Ensure operation of mechanical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting problems on conveyors, machinery, with the use of manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, etc.
• Install new machines and equipment
• Required to utilize documentation in CMMS
• Repair and replace as necessary, pumps, valves, motors, etc.
• Focus on minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance and good troubleshooting techniques
• Inform production workers of routine mechanical preventive maintenance plans
• Prepare maintenance reports and make recommendations as necessary for improvements
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending education workshops
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices and use of personal protective equipment.
• Maintain documentation as required by Atlantic Packaging
• Perform quality checks on all work performed
• Contribute team effort by accomplishing related results and other duties as assigned

What You Bring

• Must have a valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License - 433A orRed Seal Journeyman certification
• Must be able to read mechanical drawings
• Minimum 2-3-year previous experience in a manufacturing industry
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with all employees
• Exposure with mechanical devices, pneumatic controls and welding/cutting
• All position welding preferred (stainless steel pipe, guard repairs, etc.)
