Job summary

Canadian Tire Stores seeks a Licensed Automotive Technician to join a fast-paced service team. You will inspect, diagnose and repair vehicles, provide accurate estimates, and maintain high customer service standards in a dynamic, family-oriented setting.

Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, communicating with service advisors, and ensuring safety compliance. Prior Canadian Tire Automotive Service Centre experience and COSTAR knowledge are plus points.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid mechanic’s licence and a driver’s licence for the province of employment.
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours with frequent lifting.
• Must be able to work shifts: days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Approachable and customer friendly.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions.
• Knowledge of current automobile technology.
• Able to work effectively with computerized systems.
• Results-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to give precise instructions.
• Experience in a similar role at a Canadian Tire Automotive Service Centre is an asset.
• Good working knowledge of COSTAR is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, explain procedures and repairs.
• Perform accurate vehicle inspections, diagnostics, estimates and repairs.
• Complete and review repair orders and vehicle inspection reports with Service Advisors.
• Communicate with Service Manager/Advisors/Installer and Back Parts Window Associate.
• Provide accurate estimates and written vehicle reports.
• Report unsafe vehicles to management and vehicle owner.
• Stay current with vehicle operation, maintenance and repair knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

Requirements / Skills
