Fountain Tire Edmonton (Downtown) is seeking a Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join our team. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs with precision, and ensure quality service in a supportive shop environment.

This role offers competitive wages with potential earnings of $79,000 to $93,000 annually, including a base rate plus commission, plus a signing bonus. Comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Registered Journeyperson in the Automotive Service Technician trade is required.
• Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and ability to provide mechanical service.
• A diagnostic specialist who keeps up with modern technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract annually.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing the cause of malfunctions on a customer’s vehicle.
• Performing repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles.
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer specifications.
• Performing scheduled maintenance services (oil changes, lubrications, tune ups).
• Advising customers and colleagues on work performed and future repair needs.
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regular basis.
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner.
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to inquiries.
