Job summary

Fountain Tire Edmonton (Heritage) is seeking a Licensed/Red Seal Automotive Service Technician to join our team. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and ensure service meets manufacturer specs, in a clean, safe shop environment.

The successful candidate has a Red Seal, 5+ years of automotive experience, strong communication, and a commitment to delivering a superior customer experience while maintaining warranties and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed/Red Seal status in Automotive Service Technician trade.
• 5+ years of automotive experience.
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills to provide mechanical service.
• Diagnostic specialist who stays current with modern technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries
