Fountain Tire Ltd. in Calgary is seeking a Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join our team. You will diagnose vehicle issues, perform repairs, and complete manufacturer-recommended service with accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Licence/Red Seal status in Automotive Service Technician required.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and able to service customer vehicles.
• Diagnostic expertise and keeping up with modern vehicle technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; customer-focused.
• Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract annually.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs with accuracy.
• Complete approved service and testing to manufacturer specs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair needs.
• Maintain service equipment and a clean, safe work environment.

You will get to:

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

What does it take to get on track?

• Licensed/Red Seal status in the Automotive Service Technician trade is required
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers
• A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology
• The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis
