Jobtailor in Burlington, Ontario is seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster to handle liability claims for Commercial General Liability, Auto Bodily Injury, and Personal Lines. You will contact policyholders, investigate causes, and provide timely recommendations to clients.

The role requires 5+ years of claims experience, Ontario licensing, and CIP designation or progress toward it, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Completion of high school education; University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance will be given preference.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive).
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience in claims adjusting; field experience is an asset.
  • Ongoing commitment to education and learning.
  • Adjuster’s license, or currently pursuing CIP designation.
  • Ontario licensing is required; multijurisdictional licensing is an asset.
  • Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause-and-effect dynamics.
  • Ability to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.
  • Ability to interpret complex legal documents and perform and understand advanced numerical calculations, including comparative analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, interviewing, and negotiating, with ability to flex style for the audience.
  • Proactive and positive approach to customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for handling conflict and difficult situations.

Responsibilities
