Job summary

Scotiabank in Toronto is seeking an Assistant Manager, Corporate Lending Services to support the administration and ongoing maintenance of corporate lending facilities where the Bank acts as Agent, Participant Lender, or Direct Lender. The role ensures accurate setup, servicing, and management of syndicated and bilateral loans while maintaining loan records and accounting controls.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in Corporate Lending Services, Loan Operations or related financial environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
• Experience with LoanIQ/ACBS and loan servicing processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration and servicing of syndicated and bilateral credit facilities throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Assist in coordinating deal closings, fundings, amendments, repayments, and ongoing loan maintenance activities.
• Review and process loan transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with approved credit authorizations and loan docs.
• Maintain facility terms, pricing, limits and other lending requirements in systems.
• Collaborate with borrowers, agent banks, participant lenders, RM's, legal partners and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Identify exceptions and control risks and elevate issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate loan data and accounting records in LoanIQ and other platforms.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to Deal Analysts and support special projects.
